Filming more day scenes and night scenes when it goes dark,

Finish off the trailer so we can put it on YouTube,

INT – Medium shot in a room full of computers, the camera is focused on Reggie who introduces himself.

Reggie

Hi, I’m Reggie Menzies. I’m a University student, ive been asked to make a movie as a project so I decided to do a real live documentary movie on a haunted area called Borley Rectory.

INT – Camera tracks Reggie as he walks over to Rob who is on a computer researching.

Reggie

What you found Rob?

Rob

Erm, I have found a newspaper article dating back to 1939 on January Friday 13^th same as today strangely enough 8 people went missing at Borley Rectory and was never found.

INT – Medium shot of Rob introducing himself to the camera.

Rob

Hi I’m Robert Dunsden I’m a researcher and location manager for this project I found out about Borley Rectory and located it on the map. And look forward to filming what we find.

INT – Medium shot of George who is the camera man throughout the project he places camera down and introduces himself.

George

Hi, my names George Mizon, I’m on the same course as Reggie we are sharing this project with Reggie and I’m in control of camera.

INT – Medium Shot of Reggie on computer the camera pans around and Shaun walks into the room. He shakes everyones hand as it’s first time he has met them apart from Reggie who is a relative of his. Reggie tells him about the project and that Shaun is going to be the presenter for the documentary.

Hi, I’m Shaun Wilding I’m Reggie Menzies cousin and I’m going to be acting in his film as a presenter. I’m excited about this but whether this haunting is real I doubt it very much.

EXT – Camera tracks the group walking in the street talking about hauntings.

Shaun

So Reggie do you actually believe in hauntings?

Reggie

Well yeah I do, you always hear about sightings and images and this place is meant to be one of most haunted places in country so I think we will see something.

Shaun

Yeah but they’re always explanations for these things like noisy pipes or people messing around.

EXT – Camera cuts to the group in the car as they all talk about the Borley Rectory.

EXT – Medium shot of Shaun behind him is a wooded area, We can see the coldness on Shaun’s breath.

Shaun

I’m standing here outside Rectory woods, beyond these tree’s somewhere is Borley Rectory, we’re gonna head into the woods now and see what we can find.

Ext – Tracking shot of the group walking into the first part of the woods.

Shaun

So how far do you think Borley Rectory is Rob?

Rob

Erm, it shouldn’t be too far mate, about half a mile maybe less.

EXT – Medium Shot of Shaun behind him a pond and tree in the middle of the pond

Shaun

It was thought in the 1300’s witches were around in this area, it was known that this tree was used to burn the thought to be witches.

EXT – Tracking shot of the group venturing further into the woods.

Reggie

I think before we go any further we should quickly get our gear. George do you wanna stay here get some footage.

EXT – Long shot of Rob, Reggie and Shaun walking back from where they came.

EXT – The camera pans around a wooded area a noise of broken stick appears the camera turns to where the noise was and looks back around where Shaun quickly appears and jumps out and makes George jump

This is weird guys ain’t it

Reggie

What the hell. This is strange ha, what you think would happen if I broke it?

George

No don’t break it Reg just put it back.

EXT – Medium shot of Shaun with Rectory Woods behind him in the background and Shaun begins talking about the area a creepy blacked out character with a white face creeps through the woods

Reggie

What was that? Something just walked through woods behind you!

EXT – Tracking shot of the group walking into the woods looking for the mysterious character.

Shaun

Hold on where’s Rob?

Reggie

ROB!

EXT – Tracking shot, George picks the camera up and Rob appears.

Rob

What I was just going for a wee

Reggie

I just saw something walk past was well weird

Rob

Well if its on camera lets have a look.

EXT – close up of Shaun which pans between the group. As they discuss what they have just seen.

EXT – as the group head further into the woods George decides to get some scenery when the mysterious character just appears in front of him and suddenly disappears

George

Guys I just saw something

Rob

What?

EXT – Tracking shot of the group as they discuss what George just saw

Shaun

I’m not gonna say anything there has to be an explanation for that.

EXT – The camera shows a wide shot of a field area with mist rising

Rob

Well this is Borley Rectory guys, or whats left of it.

EXT – Medium Shot of Shaun of with a fielded area behind him, which is where Borley Rectory once was.

Shaun

I’m standing here in Rectory Woods, behind me is where Borley Rectory once was. It was burned down in 1939 for unexplained reasons and demolished in 1944, This is where the 8 people went missing the year it was burned down and this is where we will be spending the night.

EXT – Camera switches on and aims at George and Rob asleep in there tent, the camera then gets moved as we hear footsteps of the person carrying it outside.

EXT – the camera left on and now on the floor outside the tents see’s George wonder over and find it. As he picks the camera up the creature appears behind him and snaps his neck. The camera hits the floor facing upwards as the creature walks off.

EXT – Rob soon finds the camera picks it up and heads over to Shaun and Reggie.

Rob

Guys have you seen George, I cant find him and he left the camera over there.

Reggie

No we haven’t seen him, we thought he might be with you?

Shaun

Would he have gone home?

rob

No that’s not like him. And he wouldn’t of left the camera like that.

shaun

Well we are gonna have to look for him, put the camera back and we will look for him.

EXT – After the group have been looking for him they return to Borley Rectory and Rob has the camera again

rob

Hold on who is that?

EXT – the camera zooms in on a character standing the opposite side of the field, Shaun begins chasing after him.

shaun

Ah I’m sick of this guy

reggie and rob

Shaun! Shaun! Wait!

EXT – camera zooms in on Shaun walking back he looks in shock

shaun

Reggie we got to go, get your stuff and lets get out of here, that thing ain’t human!

reggie

What?

shaun

Its not human, lets go!

EXT – the camera looks up and suddenly the creature is in front of them, the camera turns and Rob runs across in opposite direction to the Shaun and Reggie. Reggie now holding camera turns back to see if the creature is there. The monster screams and runs straight into Reggie who then carries on running.

EXT – Long shot from in long grass area. Reggie and Shaun hiding when the creature appears in shot hearing something then runs opposite direction.

Shaun

Right we need to find Rob and get the hell out of here. Best bet is to head the way out that’s probably the way rob went, I’m sure if we keep going this way will take us out of here

EXT – as the camera pans around the pair find themselves back at Borley Rectory

Shaun

We have been walking opposite direction how can we possibly be back here! Right lets go this way.

EXT – Again Shaun ahead of the camera leads the way through wooded area only to find again they appear back at Borley Rectory.

Reggie

Here again!!

Shaun

Right Reggie there is only one more way to go lets try it

EXT – as the pair head up one last pathway Rob appears in front of them

Guys where have you been

Shaun

Rob look out!

EXT – the creature jumps out on Rob killing him and chasing after Shaun and Reggie

EXT – the camera points down as Shaun and Reggie run through Borley Rectory.

shaun

REG!!

EXT – the camera pans around to find Shaun on his knees with the creature standing over him, he snaps his neck and Reggie starts running again now in tears.

EXT – Reggie point camera down

Shaun is that you!

EXT – The camera looks up and in front of it is the creature.

EXT – Reggie darts towards the creature and goes straight through it. Camera pans back around to find no one is there

EXT – Reggie now puts camera on a close up of his face.

My name is Reggie Menzies I’ve lost two friends and my cousin to this place, if you find this video never come to this place!

EXT – the camera pans around in front of Reggie who is no where the group found the sticks which are now planted all around Reggie, the camera pans to the right where the creature jumps out. The camera blacks out and heavy breathing is heard, camera then falls and lands on zoom. It zooms in on Reggie’s face his eyes are closed, presumed dead, until he finally opens his eyes and the camera fades out.

We feel that as a group we will be best suited to film, direct and edit this project. The idea came to us on a whole so we are all very passionate about making the project, and on top of this we are all in an age range to understand what the audience we are aiming for will want to see. For editing this film we have an up to date version of final cut pro to use and top of the range HD cameras.Synopsis
The film begins with University students all in room with computers. Reggie introduces himself and his project to the camera and then one by one he introduces his crew, firstly he introduces Robert Dunsden the researcher and guide for the project. The cameraman the introduces himself by filming himself and then lastly Reggies cousin Shaun who is a drama student comes in and meets the crew and then introduces himself. The group then begin their journey to the haunted area in which they plan to film. Each of the character begin talking about the project and each have their own views on ghosts and hauntings. When they finally arrive at the woods they begin documenting their movie. As they head deeper and deeper into the woods things begin happening, unexplained sounds, cold air and movements seen in the background. The crew choose to camp in the same location as where the house which was burned down in 1939 used to be and when the camera is left on George finds it only to see behind him a character appears and snaps his neck. When the crew realise he is gone and the body is no where to be found they venture out looking for him, until Reggie spots the mysterious character and runs after him they all run back to the camp site only to see Borley Rectory appear in front of them. And from out the front door the mystery character is there and begins chasing them, The three run eventually come to a stop and Rob is now missing and presumed dead. Reggie and Shaun find a place to hide and decide they need to get out, they start wondering only to find where ever they walk no matter what direction they always appear back at Borley Rectory. They pan to around and go in one final direction and Rob is there they go over to him and then suddenly the mystery chanracter appears behind him killing off Rob. Shaun and Reggie in a blind panic run Reggie looks back and see's Shaun is caught he goes back to help him and but Shaun demands him to run. Reggie alone hides in fear. Where he begins hearing George calling for him he runs to where he hears the call and what looks like George turns out to be our mystery character. Reggie runs again in panic and fear. He holds them camera to his face and says his goodbye mid way through talking the mystery character kills him and the camera drops by his side and lands on zoom button which zooms into Reggie's bleeding face where his eyes suddenly open and the camera cuts to an end.

The Shadowing Proposal

Our Single Camera Drama is going to be a Horrow called ‘The Shadowing’ we have decided to write and direct a Horror because we feel it’s a challenge and we have a great idea. Our Horror is all filmed as if its in real life to make the audience fear what they are seeing and question whether its real or not.Although there is many films around like ours, we feel ours is different as its a small and young group being terrorised and where as others aren't real our research has helped us find a real life haunted house and we've used its history to make our horror feel more real.

Our Horror will be based around four students at University, each character will be playing as themselves but with different background, Reggie plays a film student asked by his tutor to make a movie so his idea is to make a documentary based movie on somewhere haunted, he hires Rob to do the research and mapping to find the place which is called Borley Rectory a real life haunted house burnt down in 1939. Shaun plays Reggie's cousin who is studying drama at the college who will play as a presenter in his project and finally George who is also a film student who is dealing with the camera.

The movie is set in a wooded area where the crew begin filming a documentary until slowly a mysterious character begins croping up in the background and when the night hits the character begins taking out the students one by one.

The first charatcer to die is the cameraman George who gets his neck snapped from then Reggie ends up taking the camera to try catch everything that happens on camera for the world to see, from here the building Borely Rectory which was apparently burned down in 1939 appears in front of them and the charater walks out the front door after them to which Rob gets left behind and assumed dead. The movie does end with all the characters being killed except for Reggie is feared dead but opens his eyes before the camera cuts to end the movie.

The movie is aimed at a young audience of between 15-24 this is due to the fact the film contains violence and small use of foul language which could make it a certificate 15. We also feel that that real life horrors appeal to a younger audience like the famous films Paranormal Activity.

The movie will be filmed in multiple locations due to where the movie leads; we will need to film, around a college, in a forest area and a old house. For this we will require a full HD camera a tripod a shotgun microphone and most importantly torches for our night scenes.
